The White Bull is a Grade II listed building, which was built as a coaching house in 1865, and has a long tradition of providing good food and hospitality. We offer excellent accommodation , freshly cooked food, well kept beers and a forward thinking wine list, which one would expect to find in a traditional pub but with a style of service to meet today’s exacting customer demands. The old stables have been converted out of the old stable block into 4 en suite bedrooms, 3 doubles and 1 twin room with disabled facilities. Each room has separate access, been furnished to give both comfort and character, private shower rooms, a view over the gardens, easy parking, tea and coffee making facilities and television. Inside the house on the first floor we have 3 additional Victorian rooms which reflect the era in which the house was first built. We offer a traditional menu which includes such classics as the beef and ale pie, Cumberland sausage and caramelised onions with creamy mashed potatoes, cheese and onion pie and freshly made lasagne. This is supplemented by a specials list which changes daily and provides full in – house cooked meals, served in a relaxed and formal atmosphere. If you are organising a day or evening out for a group of people whether it be business or pleasure and would like to stop for refreshments we offer cream teas, high teas, lunches, evening meals and full English breakfast. We cater for weddings and parties to the 5 star standards normally expected in larger establishments and seldom found in smaller ones with the function room leading onto a private garden, please call in to discuss your requirements with us. We can provide conference facilities with a syndicate room to accommodate 10 – 100 including refreshments throughout the day with formal or informal lunch and dinner.
