In the heart of Settle in the Yorkshire Dales, The Folly has the distinction (very rare among holiday cottages) of a Grade 1 listing. Built in 1645, with parts even earlier, the ground floor of the North Range has been painstakingly restored and is now available as a luxury holiday apartment for two. The often elusive balance has been made between 21st century comfort and the careful preservation of original architectural features.

The accommodation consists of a large sitting/dining room, with massive inglenook fireplace, kitchen, king-sized double bedroom and five-piece bathroom. The large sunny walled garden with fish pond and barbecue is available for guests, the back wall marking the Yorkshire Dales National Park boundary.

The Welcome Pack includes a pint of milk and two bottles of Wharfedale Brewery's Folly Ale. All services, shops, pubs, restaurants are minutes away and you could eat out at a different place every night for a week if so desired. Settle station is five minutes walk away, the start of the world-famous Settle and Carlisle Line. Our 1914 Model T Ford can meet guests arriving by train. Settle is a great place for walkers and near to the famous Three Peaks of Ingleborough, Pen-y-ghent and Whernside.
