Layhead Farm Cottages is a secluded group of six high quality self catering holiday cottages, each with uninterrupted views, private access and private parking within the quiet Yorkshire Dales village of Rathmell, near Settle.

Situated four miles from Settle and sixteen miles from Skipton the cottages have been converted from the original farmhouse and barns and have retained many original features. Layhead Farm Cottages is a working farm and is the ideal location for exploring the dales, the Forest of Bowland and the Southern Lakes. They are set amidst beautiful open countryside of stonewalls, streams and meadows with views of The Three Peaks and limstone escarpments.

You are assured of a warm welcome from Mrs Rosemary Hyslop who provides all linen and towels and every modern convenience in each cottage for you to enjoy a carefree holiday. The cottages range in size from seleping five up to eleven, which makes them very suitable for families and friends to get together. Outside catering can be supplied if so wished for special celebrations and Rosemary sells ready to cook meals and preserves using local ingredients. The market town of Settle has many excellent cafes, restaurants and pubs to eat out. There is a weekly market and a monthly Farmer's Market. Nearby the cottages are a children's adventure playground, football field and separate games room.

The situation of the cottages also means that seclusion and privacy to relax in peaceful surroundings is achievable and many guest return many times during the year to recharge their energies.
