Golden Lion Hotel

Golden Lion Hotel is an Inn located in Settle. Built around 1640, the Golden Lion Hotel, once a traditional coaching inn, is situated in the heart of Settle's 17thC market place. Still retaining many of its original features, the hotel offers an open log fire, comfortable bar lounge with a good selection of beers and warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The Hotel offers 12 recently refurbished bedrooms, 10 of which are en suite with beautifully coordinated decoration. The rooms comprise of 8 double rooms, 2 twin rooms and 2 family rooms, all with tea/coffee making facilities and colour TV. A private residents' lounge is available for those who wish to spend a few quiet hours away from the bustling bar areas.
We also cater for small conferences/meeting offering packages from just room hire to full board. We will be happy to discuss your needs on an individual basis.
The Golden Lion is a popular eating house for both locals and visitors alike, offering a wide variety of traditional and continental dishes, using only fresh produce. As the majority of dishes are prepared to order, there may be a short delay, but we guarantee all our food is worth the wait! You may choose to dine in our 70-seater restaurant which is open lunchtime and evenings or eat by the roaring log fires.
Weddings, christening parties, birthday celebrations and club parties are just a few suggestions; all of which are catered for to our usual high standards. Menus available on request, or tailored to meet your needs.
